Exclusive Hire

A heritage‑rich space with a modern soul, Sofia is yours to make your own. Whether you’re planning an intimate celebration or a lively, full‑venue affair, our warm, character‑filled rooms create a beautiful backdrop for unforgettable moments.

Host up to 120 guests for a stand‑up canapé‑style event, or up to 60 guests for a seated celebration, all with the privacy and atmosphere of having the entire venue exclusively for you.

We can host up to 60 guests for a seated banquet‑style event, or up to 150 guests for a stand‑up canapé celebration, giving you the flexibility to shape the occasion exactly as you imagine.

Surcharge
- A 10% surcharge applies to all food and beverages on Sundays and Public Holidays
Function Finish Time
- Function finish times may be adjusted, provided the revised time is approved in advance by our Functions Manager.
Dress Code & Styling
- A smart dress code applies.
- No fancy dress costumes.
- No glitter, confetti, or open‑flame candles are permitted in the venue.
Entertainment
- DJs are permitted for exclusive‑use functions.
- All other entertainment must be approved in advance by the Venue Manager.

Exclusive Whole-Venue Hire Cancellation Policy
- Exclusive whole-venue bookings may be cancelled without charge when written notice is received more than 14 days before the event.
The following cancellation fees apply:
- Cancellation between 7 and 14 days before the event: 50% of the agreed minimum spend.
- Cancellation within 7 days of the event: 100% of the agreed minimum spend.
- Failure to attend: 100% of the agreed minimum spend.
- Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 72 hours before the event. After this time, reductions in guest numbers will not reduce the agreed minimum spend or confirmed catering charges.
- Any deposit paid will be applied towards the cancellation fee. Management may, at its discretion, transfer the booking and deposit to another available date in cases of genuine emergency.
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing and are effective once acknowledged by Sofia on Cleveland Management.
Service, Gratuity & Sunday/Public holiday surcharge
- A 10% surcharge applies on Sunday’s and public holidays
- A 5% gratuity will be applied to reservations of 24 guests or more.
- A 5% service charge will be applied to groups of 50 guests and above.

Our new Private Dining Room offers an intimate, elevated setting for up to 24 guests seated for a banquet‑style experience. Thoughtfully designed to feel warm, refined, and deeply personal, it’s the ideal space for corporate gatherings, milestone celebrations, or special occasions that call for something truly memorable.

Banquet Requirements
- Individual dishes can be added to our banquet
- Groups of 14+ are required to dine on one of our set menus.
- Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements when taking your order.
- For privately designed banquets please contact us 7 days prior to your booking date.

Minimum Spend
- Private dining requires a minimum spend of $2500.00 for lunch and $3000.00 for dinner inclusive of food and beverages.
Cancelation Policy
- Cancellations for bookings of 20 guests or more must be received at least seven (7) days before the event to avoid a $50 per person cancellation fee.
- Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 72 hours before the event, and this confirmed number will be the minimum number charged.
- Cancellations within 72 hours or non-attendance will incur the full agreed food cost or minimum spend at the managers discretion.
Service & Gratuity Charges
- Please be advised that a 5% gratuity will be applied to reservations of 22 guests or more.
